Gift bag with cards

This was a project that we made at Make. Do and Send card club recently.  The original idea came from Amanda Fowler, you can see her blog here. 
The little gift bag is made from just one piece of card which is scored using the fabulous Simply Scored board and then folded, it is held closed by ribbon. The bag is the perfect size to hold four 3x3 inch cards with their envelopes. I kept the decoration of my cards to a simple colour combination of Pool Party, Island Indigo and Calypso Coral, I shall be sorry to see these colours retire at the end of the current catalogue in June, do you think we can persuade stampin Up to keep them?

Razzleberry snowflakes

Phew! I'm exhausted!  I've spent all week at the theatre helping out with Spotlight's latest show, The Drowsy Chaperone.  It was great! Audience reaction was fantastic to this very funny show and we played to pretty much a full house every night.

So, I haven't had much time for making cards this week but I do have another card from last months training day to share with you.

The papers are once again from the Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin kit, these kits really are not just for scrapbooks!  The snowflake die has been put to great use, the tiniest snowflake is cut from glimmer paper which adds a lovely bit of sparkle.
A simple design but perfect for when you have loads of Christmas cards to make.

Christmas Bauble

I know it's only June but you can never begin Christmas preparations too early!
For this tree bauble I used the ornament punch to cut lots of shapes from real red designer paper, old olive card and red glimmer paper. I folded them all in half and stuck them all together to create a three dimensional bauble.  I attached a loop of ribbon in the centre so I can hang it on my tree.


OK that's one down, loads more to go, phew it's a good job Christmas is still 6 months away!
