My Hot Foil Pen!!

Some more cards using images you've seen before, they are my favourites at the moment.
However, on the top two cards I made use of my recent purchase from the Hobbycrafts show at the NEC in November, I used my Hot Foil Pen! It will take a little practise to be perfect but I can't believe how easy it is to use. You can trace any image or message onto your project in foil! I'm lovin' it!

Kit Car

Another new stamp from Lil Claire, this cat looks so smug driving his little car. I stamped the image with a black Staz on inkpad and watercoloured it with my Stampin up crayons. Then I mounted it onto silver mirri card and a background of dotty paper. The final touch was tying some satin ribbon around the spine of the card.

Fairy Cute!

Here we are! The first card from my pre prepared images. I mounted my fairies onto some silver mirri card and then onto some pretty flowery paper. Simple and neat :O)

Preparation day

Not much time today so I thought I'd get ahead and get sme images ready for cards. These are all new stamps so I had been looking forward to trying them out. The camper van and the cat in car are both stamps from Lil Claire designs, I have quite a few from them now, just need to get round to using them.
All the images were stamped with a staz-on inkpad onto white card and then I used my watercolours from Stampin up and a waterbrush to colour the images.

Fabulous

Another from the HOTP kit. Cards suitable for men are in short supply round here at the moment so this one fits the bill quite nicely. More muted tones this time, some more of those fabulous brads, button ones this time, some inking to give the message a distressed feel and some ripping and tearing to add interest to the layered papers.

BIG Brads are FUN!

I discovered an unused Hot Off the Press kit recently so I had to have a play with it didn't I! I LOVE these outsize brads, they're so large that you can use rub-ons to decorate them. I added a flower design to the one on this card and used a similar one in the centre of the card which has an eyelet brad for the middle of the flower. The overall design is very simple with a matted message in the centre and a ribbon border at the top but on the whole quite pretty and effective I think.

Lilac flowers and Butterflies

I have a bit of a thing about dresses at the moment I think. This was a kit card so all the embellishments came together. The flowers are decoupaged to add some depth and I added some glitter to lift the dress a little. I like the use of paper doily type paper as a background, I think I may exploit that a little more another time.

Monochromed Elegance

I don't often visit Black and White but I thought these images looked great on the black card. I did however add some highlights in the form of some border peel-offs and strips of holographic card. The image itself is decoupaged and highlighted with some glitterglue. I do love a spot of cutting out!

Cheeky cutouts

Aren't these cheeky ?! Very simple images decoupaged and layered and then matted onto a coordinating coloured square. I mounted them onto square silver cards to keep the contempory feel. I think they're perfect for the teenage girls in my life.

more Wedding!

So, first here is the happy couple! then beneath is the fish bowl with the lights on, then the hundreds of cake boxes tht I helped assemble and lastly the bridal favours that I helped with too. They were little organza bags with a beautiful butterfly bead attaced to a ribbon and an ivy leaf. Inside were a tube of love heart sweets personalised with the names and date of the wedding and a match book that had little seed sticks to plant.

Wedding Day

This is the card
I made for my friend Nikki's wedding.
The champagne glass was a photo
which I cut out and 3d mounted onto
textured paper. I added a piece of ribbon
and some feathers and beads.

I was also part of the team that helpred decorate the reception venue. I was in charge of balloons and I dont think I did a bad job even if I do say so myself. The table decorations were beautiful, huge fishbowls with ivy and roses inside and some fairy lights. The room looked totally magical :O)

A gatefold card this time and when you open it up you find that they are standing outside a very snowy front door.

Cute behind!

Another, where you get the rear view from inside the card.

Snowman

I'm sure there must be a name for the type of fold that is used for this card but I'm blowed if I can remember it! Makes him stand up beautifully anyhow.

Patchwork Pals

I love these characters. Another Christmas kit from QVC, these are sooooo cute. This little man really slides down the hill on his toboggan as you pull the tab at the side. Such gorgeous colours and papers too. More to come!
