Christmas is over! and I now have some table back and a little bit of time as it is the school holidays so back to birthday cards. I rediscovered this QVC kit when i was clearing the table for Christmas dinner. The hedgehog images are stamps from the Penny Black range which I watercoloured, the shopper is a Jolly Nation image.. They were matted onto holographic card and coordinating papers. The butterfly card is finished off with some matching peel-offs and vellum attached with gem brads.

Christmas Tags
I had originally intended these tags as part of a swap on CSF but events rather overtook me and I only got 4 made instead of the 20 I needed :( They didn't go to waste, I used them and only just remembered to snap them halfway through attaching them to presents !! lol
The Snowman image is from Stampin Up, stamped onto white card and matted onto silver mirri and blue card. I watercoloured the images and added just a tad of glitter !

What no Bloggin!!
How remiss of me, still no bloggin for over a month now!
I have some pictures of Christmas cards to add so will do that over the weekend hopefully.
I have been so caught up with school just lately, I videoed ( how do u spell that word ?) the Nativity in the gazebo on the school playing field and edited it with music and effects for the Christmas Concert. It went down really well yesterday with the parents, one more performance today, hope the technology holds out for me!
Tomorrow is our Christmas "Do" at the Runnymede hotel so I'm sure I will have some photos to add from that too.

Look what I made today!
I travelled down to Fareham today for a Stampin Up event for hostesses. Amanda wsa great, she demoed some lovely things and showed us a few things that were from the new catalogue which is released on Wednesday (can't wait but it's going to cost me a fortune!!). Then we had a chance to play and this is what we made: a christmas card, a tote bag with notepad and a gorgeous card with a lovely doggy image . :O) Thnks Amanda for this afternoon and for all the lovely coffee and cake too :O)

Blue Birthday
I rediscovered this kit from QVC the other day, lots of coordinating papers in 5 different colours. I started out with the blue set as you can see. Lots of ripping and tearing, some vellum and some brads and finsished off with a couple of peel off greetings. What do you think? :O)

Handbags and Gladrags
These are two cards I made from a little kit I found recently (don't know where it came from). The aperture is covered with a piece of gauze like material and the embellishments stuck on top. Suitable for the glaourrous teenagers in my life I think :O)

Help!!!!
Birthday Boy
It's my boys birthday next week so I thought I had better get organised and make him a card. He is completely mad about dragons so when I came across this picture I knew it would be great for his card. I decoupaged the image to make it more 3D and added a touch of sparkle with stickles to the dragon and the castle turrets. Hope he likes it :O)

Christmas tags
Well, I've made a start on Christmas!! I did make a few cards a while back but then a busy summer got in the way. I decided to join in the tag swap on Craftswap Forum in the hope that it would get me going again and here is the result. The snowman image is from Stampin Up, stamped with stazon and watercoloured, I matted it onto silver mirri, backed it with a deep blue paper and added a piece of silver ribbon. Oh and a touch of sparkle with some stickles. Only about 92 days to Christmas now I think so I'd better get cracking with the rest!! :O)

Soccer Aid
It was my Dad's birthday recently so for his present I bought him tickets to see the Soccer Aid match last sunday at Wembley. He took my daughter with him as she is football mad too. They had a great evening watching England beat the Rest of the World 4-3. There were some real football legends playing for both teams ( Graeme Le Saux, David Seaman, Alan Shearer, Teddy Sheringham, Romario) as well as some well known celebrities ( Jamie Theakston, Kyran Bracken, Craig David, Gareth Gates, Gordon Ramsey, Gethin Jones, Brian Lara). A lovely evening - hope lots of money was raised for UNICEF.
Orange!!
I had a bit of an orange moment with this one!! I love this Penny Black stamp, so cute. I coloured it with watercolour pencils and once again the finishing touch was a piece of satin ribbon. I seem to have caught this trend from a crafty friend!!

Here's another!
Another image from the same stamp set as before. This time I finished it off with some pink organza ribbon.
Saturday, 6 September 2008
I held a Stampin Up workshop at home a few weeks back, great fun!! As a result I spent rather a lot of money on stamps and other bits. This image is from one of the stamp sets I bought. I stamped in staz-on and coloured it with watercolour pencils then matted it onto mirri card. The backing paper was in my scraps box and I can't remember where it came from. The finishing touch was a piece of silver ribbon.

First Day Nerves
Here's my boy on his first day at secondary school. How smart is he????? I'm not sure who was more nervous about it, him or me! He had a great day and told me all about it in detail yesterday evening so I didn't need to worry at all did I (maybe just about where all those intervening years have gone and whatever happened to my baby).
In the Pink!!
I made this card for a friends birthday recently. She likes everything pink so this fitted the bill perfectly. The image is from a decoupage sheet matted on mirri card and then onto a pink blank. Atouch of ribbon to complete it :O)

Getting back to normal
At least I hope so. I can't believe it has been so long since I managed to post anything here. It has been a very busy summer with lots going on some bad but mostly good.
I have managed to make one or two things along the way so hopefully I will get the pictures loaded soon. Then I can get back to visiting all my favourite blogs regularly again.
Thankyou so much to all those peeps who have visited my blog in my absence.
