Flowers Inc.

Whose bright idea was it to wear a white t-shirttoday and then get the inks out????? I had a great time though, I bought some new alcohol inks at the weekend so I had to have a play didn't I. The stamps are new too. I'm quite pleased with results, both stamped onto glossy card these ATC's have a lovely shine, I say ATC's but I think I may turn them into toppers for cards :)

Another Easter ATC

Today I made another ATC for Lesley's Easter swap. I was worried that the elephant didnt really fit in properly so having found a suitable stamp at the NEC on saturday I got the watercolour pencils out again and this is the result :)

Pretty in Pink

I needed to make a birthday card for my niece who is going to be six in a week or so. She is very girly so this weeks "Tickled Pink" Challenge from the My Time to Craft blog suited me perfectly . The decoupaged image and coordinating backing paper are both from Design House, I added a strip of pink ribbon and some sparkle to finish it off.

"In With the Old"

The challenge on the Funky Fairy blog this week is
"In with the OLD
Out with the new
Create an Item
That's just for YOU
Go through your stash
That you've had packed away
And fetch out those Goodies
To have a little play"
It inspired me to have a go, ( I've never got round to joining in any of the various challenges before though I've intended to many times).
I had a little dig around and came across some chipboard shapes. I covered the puzzle piece shape with papers from K&Co then I added some more of the stamped images that I came across the other day and watercoloured them as before( I really enjoy this new technique). The addition of a book ring has turned it into a keyring for the garage key which I am forever losing in the kitchen drawer.

Family Holidays

Here's my latest page showing our family on holiday in Devon and Cornwall. I have used the same papers as on the previous page but in reverse. A strip of coordinating ribbon across the top with some chipboard medallions attached with brads completes the page. I look forward to your comments.

Easter ATC's

As someone who does not get on very well with Rubber stamping I'm still not quite sure how I ended up joining in with the Rubber stamping monthly swap on Craftswap forum. I have to confess to cheating a bit as while the images are stamped it wasn't me who did the stamping. I colour washed the images with water colour pencils, a new technique for me. I really enjoyed it and am quite pleased with the results. Not sure how Lesley will feel about the inclusion of a baby elephant for the Easter theme though.

School Days

Another page for the album. No room for titling on the page but it needed some embellishment so I attached some coordinating paper flowers with large brads and used some ribbon around the corners of the photographs. I'm quite pleased with the result.

Kenya 1977

This double page spread shows our family holiday to Kenya. We went to stay with my uncle and aunt who had a hotel at Mombasa. We stayed 3 weeks and as I was 9 years old you can imagine the impact the trip had on me. Lots of wonderful memories.

Little Bridesmaid"

Here I am as a bridesmaid for my godmother. I remember I kept my posy by my bed for ages and ages. I have doublemounted the photgraph to make a statement and added some paper flowers which are attahced with large brads. This page is as yet untitled as I can't think of anything I like. Any suggestions gratefully received.

You made my Day

Lesley really made my day today when she awarded me the "You make my day" tribute. I have to pass it on to all the people who make my day. The people who have made my day are:
Lesley.
Fifi.
She

Bognor & Beyond

Another page for the book! All photos taken on family holidays on the south coast. In the large picture it is very obvious that I didn't want to be up on that stage, I remember the occasion very well! All ingredients as before are from Brenda Pinnick.

Summer Fun

I think these are my favourite pages so far. A double page spread entitled Summer Fun and My
New Bike. Again all papers are from Brenda Pinnick.

Christmas 1969!!

Here I am seeing the christmas tree for the first time! It looks like I was impressed. Another page for the album.
The paper and the embellishments are all from the Brenda Pinnick Christmas scrapbook kit from QVC.

Scrapping

These are the first pages of many, I hope! I have been informed by my family that I cannot have a birthday party without some incriminating photographs so I have decided to make them much more palateable for everybody. Wasn't I a cute baby! I wonder what happened!!

Mother's Day Cards

These are the cards I have made for Mother's day for my mum and mil. I am all out of inspiration at the moment so I was really pleased when the latest edition of Let's Make Cards landed on the mat this morning. I have more or less copied the designs from the magazine but hopefully it will provoke something more creative from me over the weekend.

More Decoupage

More Decoupaged cards, very much along the lines of the last lot. Won't have time for any creations over the weekend as we are off to camp. I must be mad, our wedding anniversary as well! What a way to spend it!

February card swap

These are the cards I made for the monthly swap on Craftswap. They are a bit shiny so haven't photographed very well, a lovely reflection of the dining table though! As you can see I had a bit of a decoupage moment!!

Fat page for Buttonbox

This page is my contributions to a book being compiled for a friend of mine on Craftswap who is feeling down at the moment.
The background stamp is the butterflies from Tanda stamps and the flowers are from Pocketful of posies paper.

Cards

These are cards that I made from my most recent purchase from QVC.
It is a Brenda Pinnick kit, very simple to make up but very effective.

Flutterbys

I finally completed all the pages for people on the Butterfly Fat Book list on Craftswap Forum this weekend. These examples also include my first attempts with alcohol inks. I used a butterfly peeloff on an inked background which I then cut out and placed on the page which had been stamped with a butterfly background stamp from Tanda. The other pages include butterflies made from acetate and shimmer papers.

30th January 2008

Goodness!! How long is it since I last posted something here? Where has the time gone?

Today I completed a tag book that I had started at a workshop when I visited the craft show at Farnborough a couple of weeks ago. All the papers and ribbons are from Blonde moments, gorgeous colours and lots of lovely papers in their range. I have to confess to making a rather large purchase at their stand later.
