Christening card
I made this card for a friends baby who was christened today. The bear is a dufex image decoupaged and I added a peel off greeting and his name which you can't see very well in this picture. A lovely service :o)

Sparkly Bling!
This card fulfills two challenges this week! The My Time to Craft challenge is Sparkly and Funky Fairys is Bling.
I attacked this Papernation decoupaged fairy with the glitter glue and mounted her on some holographic card and added some pink glittery ribbon just in case it wasn't already shiny enough :o)

Birthday Bowling
Alice turned 14 today!!! Can't quite believe it myself! We went bowling this morning with a couple of friends to celebrate. Here is the birthday girl on her way to her first strike, the second picture shows what happened when "Bowling went COSMIC"!! Lots of ultra violet and flashing lights, made bowling difficult ( that's my excuse for coming last anyway) but lots of fun had by all.
Happy Birthday Alice :)
Earlier this week I went to a Jack Petchey awards ceremony to see my husband and niece receive their awards. Amy's was a young persons achievement award and she used her award money to help her go the Centenary World Scout Jamboree last summer. David has won an "Outstanding Leader" award "presented only to those who have encouraged and motivated young people in an exceptional way". He was presented with a cheque for £1000 which he can spend on the scout troop. To say I was a very proud wife and aunty sitting in the audience is an understatement, I am so very proud of them both. :)

College days
and even more!
Here we are outside our chalet in the middle of the game reserve. It was our home for 3 nights, right in the middle of nowhere! The bottom picture is me standing beside the sign that was warning us to beware of the Hippos that were in the river behind that hedge. Apparently you mustn't be fooled by their lazy appearance, they are really quite vicious and are responsible for an awful lot of tourist deaths every year. Now I look back on it I wonder at my parents letting us wander about like that, shouldnt we have stayed in the van?

Safari...so goody!!
Another page for the album! Here are my sister and I standing outside Kilimanjaro Safari Lodge in Kenya in 1984. We were on a 4 day safari across the Tsavo and Ambolseli National Game Reserves. It is wonderful seeing the animals in their natural environment, I'd recommend it to anyone. The papers and embellishments are all from the Brenda Pinnick kit as before.
For Alice
Here is the card I have made for my daughter's birthday, she is going to be 14 on Saturday!! The stamp is one I bought at the NEC last weekend coloured with watercolours ( my new favourite technique!) and mounted on a tag and the papers are from Flavia. I hope she likes it.

Flowers Inc.
Whose bright idea was it to wear a white t-shirttoday and then get the inks out????? I had a great time though, I bought some new alcohol inks at the weekend so I had to have a play didn't I. The stamps are new too. I'm quite pleased with results, both stamped onto glossy card these ATC's have a lovely shine, I say ATC's but I think I may turn them into toppers for cards :)
Another Easter ATC
Today I made another ATC for Lesley's Easter swap. I was worried that the elephant didnt really fit in properly so having found a suitable stamp at the NEC on saturday I got the watercolour pencils out again and this is the result :)

Pretty in Pink
I needed to make a birthday card for my niece who is going to be six in a week or so. She is very girly so this weeks "Tickled Pink" Challenge from the My Time to Craft blog suited me perfectly . The decoupaged image and coordinating backing paper are both from Design House, I added a strip of pink ribbon and some sparkle to finish it off.

"In With the Old"
The challenge on the Funky Fairy blog this week is
"In with the OLD
Out with the new
Create an Item
That's just for YOU
Go through your stash
That you've had packed away
And fetch out those Goodies
To have a little play"
It inspired me to have a go, ( I've never got round to joining in any of the various challenges before though I've intended to many times).
I had a little dig around and came across some chipboard shapes. I covered the puzzle piece shape with papers from K&Co then I added some more of the stamped images that I came across the other day and watercoloured them as before( I really enjoy this new technique). The addition of a book ring has turned it into a keyring for the garage key which I am forever losing in the kitchen drawer.

Easter ATC's
As someone who does not get on very well with Rubber stamping I'm still not quite sure how I ended up joining in with the Rubber stamping monthly swap on Craftswap forum. I have to confess to cheating a bit as while the images are stamped it wasn't me who did the stamping. I colour washed the images with water colour pencils, a new technique for me. I really enjoyed it and am quite pleased with the results. Not sure how Lesley will feel about the inclusion of a baby elephant for the Easter theme though.

Little Bridesmaid"
Here I am as a bridesmaid for my godmother. I remember I kept my posy by my bed for ages and ages. I have doublemounted the photgraph to make a statement and added some paper flowers which are attahced with large brads. This page is as yet untitled as I can't think of anything I like. Any suggestions gratefully received.
