Just a quick post from me today and it's back to the flowers! This image was coloured with marker pens so that I could get more than one colour on the image. Then the flower was stamped again and 3d mounted to give some dimension.

Calypso Flower
Just a quick post from me today and it's back to the flowers! This image was coloured with marker pens so that I could get more than one colour on the image. Then the flower was stamped again and 3d mounted to give some dimension.

Gift bag with cards
This was a project that we made at Make. Do and Send card club recently. The original idea came from Amanda Fowler, you can see her blog here.
The little gift bag is made from just one piece of card which is scored using the fabulous Simply Scored board and then folded, it is held closed by ribbon. The bag is the perfect size to hold four 3x3 inch cards with their envelopes. I kept the decoration of my cards to a simple colour combination of Pool Party, Island Indigo and Calypso Coral, I shall be sorry to see these colours retire at the end of the current catalogue in June, do you think we can persuade stampin Up to keep them?
Here's a closer image of the gift bag, you can see that I used the Mixed Bunch stamp set to decorate it.

Happy Birthday
Another birthday card to share today. This one was for my Mother in Law who was 82 a few days ago.
The stamped image is from Apothecary Art, cut out using the matching framelit dies, the greeting was coloured using a marker pen.
The Everyday Enchantment designer paper is now retired but i thought it was one that she would like.
Speaking of retirement, it won't be long before we get the new Stampin up catalogue (on 1st October) which means that tomorrow we will hear what is to be discontinued from the current catalogue. There are sure to be some favourites retiring but how exciting to be getting some new products!
Also tomorrow is the launch of the new Autumn and Winter catalogue which will run until the end of January. There are some gorgeous products in there which I hope you will love as much as I do, my wish list is so long!
If you would like a copy of the new catalogue then please shout and if you would like to host a workshop or to attend a class or club then you can email me.

Mouthwatering
Another from the Handbag portfolio. The main image is from the Mouthwatering stamp set and has been coloured with marker pens. The designer paper is again from Sweet shop; other embellishments are the new Bakers twine in calypso coral, ruffled ribbon also in coral and a jelly bean brad. The sentiment is from Sweet cake.

Rosettes Simply Scored
Woohoo! We now have the Simply Scored Tool to use and it's just brilliant! There are just loads of different ways to use the board and you can add a diagonal scoring plate or a metric plate if you find that easier to use.
This is my first attempt at a rosette, they are so much easier to make than you think. This one was made from designer paper and scored every quarter inch. Then the strip of paper was concertina'd and the ends joined together to complete the ring. A circle punched from coordinating paper finishes off the centre.
