Happy Easter! Yes I know it was yesterday but today is still a holiday right? Today I am sharing a little Easter basket and a card especially made for Spring, let's hope it is just around the corner at last.
Here's a closer look at the basket. I ran the card through the textured embossing folder so that it looked a little more basket like. The flowers are made using the boho blossom punch with dsp and card. Oh and I added a little pearl in the centre of each one.
Hands off! The eggs are mine!
My Spring card is a very simple design, definitely a "less is more" card. I used the Spring sampler stamps and layered the images using square punches and the postage stamp punch.
I'm going to make a few of these this Christmas! Such an effective design but really easy to create. The white base was embossed in the Big Shot with the striped embossing folder and gives a great base to "hang" the wreath. The wreath was made by punching a ring of card from two different sized circle punches and then a length of ruffled ribbon wrapped around. A tiny red faux bow finishes it off. The greeting is from the Contempo Christmas stamp set, a couple of glimmer brads to complete.
Another team training project but a deviation from the usual cards! This Christmas wreath uses nearly a whole reel of lucky limeade ruffled ribbon wrapped around a polystyrene ring and held with glue dots. I think the poinsettias are great too and so simple to make using the five petal punch, the boho blossoms punch and a glimmer brad.
I have more projects to share with you but as it is A level results day tomorrow I am not sure I will make it here.
How is this for a cheeky Christmas card? A pair of stripy stockinged Elfen legs. I made this card at quarterly team training along with the gift box and I have a few more projects to share over the next few days so prepare to feel unseasonably Christmassy!
The shoes have each been made from a quarter of a top note die which was then shaped further using the ornament and circle punches, the shoes were then topped with a glimmer brad and a bow. The gorgeous stripy stockings are from the Holly Berry designer papers and the greeting from Petite Pairs.
Another stamp set that has been on my wish list since the catalogue was launched last October. It's perfect for the lads in our lives, there's a car, bike, boat or plane for everyone. I've used the glimmer brads to attach my car to the card and matched them to the colour of my car. The designer paper stack in neutrals is perfect for this monochrome look and I used tiny strips of dsp to make the brackets opposite the brads.
This design would be great for Father's day I think but maybe not for me this year as I made 40 of these as my swaps for the Reading training!
